Bohdan

He is Irina's best friend. Similarly to her, he comes from a TV background in Kyiv. Bohdan allows the filmmakers unique visits to his unit, where film cameras capture the everyday life of the crew operating on the most difficult stretch of the front - in the most dangerous locations.

Katarína

For 17 years she has been working in the west of Ukraine, in Mukachevo, as a local coordinator of the Spiš Catholic Charity, helping Roma families as a priority. When the war broke out, she has been helping since day one, "otherwise she would have gone mad". Tirelessly, once a month, behind the wheel of a van, she travels around the war-torn country, covering thousands of kilometers to distribute humanitarian aid in war zones.

Igor

Igor, originally a businessman in furniture from Western Ukraine, closed his business, left his wife and two children at home, and volunteered for the Ukrainian army. He now serves as the commander of a rescue platoon of medics. He and his men are also serving in the "hottest" locations of the war, and Katarína is bringing humanitarian aid to him and his people as well.

Viera Dubačová

Director

She is a cultural manager, activist and municipal politician. In 2016-2020 she was a member of the National Assembly of the Slovak Republic. She founded and led the theatre "Divadlo z pasáže", in which people with intellectual disabilities perform. She fights against extremism and is co-founder of the initiative No in Our City. She has received the Mayor of Banská Bystrica Award, the Euro Citizen of the Year 2009, the Crystal Wing Award for Philanthropy, and the Award of J.M. Lucia Štasselová

Producer

She is an architect, fundraiser, activist, and municipal politician. She led the largest grant-making organization for children and youth - the Foundation for Children of Slovakia. Since 2014, she has been a municipal deputy in the capital city of Bratislava, where she served as Deputy Mayor for Social Affairs and Affordable Housing. In 2017, she co-initiated the Call to Humanity - in response to the migration crisis. She chairs the board of directors of the non-profit organization People in Peril - the largest Slovak humanitarian aid organization. Walter Nagy

Project Coordination

He graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and interned at Charles University in Prague and Eötvos Loránd University in Budapest. He has been working with the Institute of Documentary Film since 2008 on the production of East Silver. He belongs to the generation of film poeticism of the "Czech Dream" of Filip Remunda and Vit Klusák, he cooperates with the Czech production company Hypermarket Film, where he worked in the post-production crew of Vitaliy Mansky and Yevhen Titarenko's film The Eastern Front, which premiered at the Berlinale. Evgeniy Ladik

Camera I

He graduated from TeleRadio Press Institute and Sevastopol National University of Nuclear Energy and Industry. He is a freelance cinematographer. Previously, he worked as a cinematographer at the Ukrainian commercial TV network STB - Production and Distribution of Broadcast Media, which covers 85% of the territory of Ukraine and is one of the five largest TV networks in Ukraine. He started at the First National TV Channel and has so far collaborated on several feature films and documentaries - among them Ostrov Kyiv (2016), Hartlar (2019), Paratychion (2020), I Love Dogs More Than People (2021) and Non-Existent (2021) - about volunteers in Kyiv who help homeless people. Andriy Kononenko

He graduated from the National University of Food Technologies in Kyiv. He is a freelance cinematographer. He works on several projects and for TV companies, among others - Telekanal Inter, Telekanal Ukraine and Operator. Previously, he worked as a cinematographer at the Ukrainian commercial TV network STB - Production and Distribution of Broadcast Media, which covers 85% of Ukraine's territory and is one of the five largest TV networks in Ukraine.

Michal Ďuriš

Camera III

He graduated in directing at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. His student film "A heartwarming comedy about depression, madness and unfulfilled dreams" was selected for the Ten Days Internet Event called We Are One: A Global Film Festival in 2020. He has won awards for his student films at the film festival Fest Anča.

Valentin Naymovytch

Camera IV

He is a freelance cinematographer and TV operator, with extensive experience in scenic, documentary and studio filming. He graduated from the Film and Television Faculty at Kinneret Academic College in Israel. He has worked as a cinematographer at SunVideo Production Israel, for the TV network STB, Fabiosa Media and TET, where he worked on TV series. Arty Diatchenko

Sound I

He is a sound engineer who founded a sound production company, and works as an independent sound engineer for film productions at home and abroad.

Oles Hubenko

Sound II

He works as a sound engineer and post-production sound engineer. He studied at the Kirovograd Children's Music School, the Kirovograd Music School, playing the bandura, at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts and at the Institute of Cinema and Television. He worked for the TV channel STB as a sound engineer, where he participated in projects like The Farmer Wants a Wife, Kyiv by Day and by Night, and Father's House. Jana Bučka

Cut

She studied acting at the DAMU in Prague and documentary filmmaking at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. She has completed several internships at theatre schools in Romania, Mexico and Spain. Her best-known films Cigarettes and Songs (2010) and Bells of Happiness (2012) were co-directed with Marek Šulík. She has directed the TV documentaries Izabela Textorisová or Biomasaker, and in collaboration with Michal Fulier the film What Have You Done to the Russians? (2023). Tomáš Kaminský

Script

He studied at the Faculty of Arts at Comenius University in Bratislava, worked as a director, screenwriter, author of a literary program at Ragtime radio, journalist at TASR, and an editor at VTV television. At TV Markíza he was Head of PR and a director. At Monarch, he worked as Art Director, and also worked at the production company Piknik Pictures. In 2010, he founded Mandala Pictures, an independent art company for documentary films.

Katarína Selecká

Communications & PR

Katarina graduated in Political Science at the University of Trnava in Trnava and in Creative Photography at the Institute of Creative Photography at the Silesian University in Opava, Czech Republic. Professionally, she has been working in communications, copywriting, and creative projects for many years. She is currently working as Senior PR and Marketing Manager at the Bratislava City Museum and a freelance photographer.
